Little Mill Creek is a cottage industry owned by Cliff and Jeanette Stump in Ridgway, Pennsylvania. The business began in 2001 when they were married and is named after Little Mill Creek that flows behind their homestead. On the farm, a hemlock pole barn, built by Cliff, houses dairy goats. Jeanette and Cliff have a small vegetable garden, chickens and turkeys and bake whole grain & specialty breads. They sell goat milk fudge, goat milk soap, canned jellies, jams, hot pepper mustard, hot pepper rings, apple butter, pickled beets, fresh eggs and breads from their home and at the local farmer's market.
Cliff is a native of Johnsonburg, Pa.  He enjoys carpentry and crafted their kitchen's pine cabinets, dovetail drawers, raised panel doors & wainscoting with his collection of antique handt ools. He is a pipefitter by trade and worked for 30 years at the Johnsonburg Paper Mill.   Presently he is active in speaking out against the unconventional drilling taking place in Elk County and other locations in Pennsylvania..
Jeanette holds a certification in nutrition from the International Institute of Holistic Health and Healing.  She was employed by Penn State Extension as a nutrition educator and presently works for Community Nurses as a personal care aide and volunteers for hospice and 4-H.  Her interests include contemplative prayer, meditation and service.  Jeanette's father, Paul Van Zanten  was an immigrant of Holland.  He passed away in 1961 and when Jeanette was three years old she moved to an orphange in Mooseheart, Illinios. Jeanette is the youngest of seven children.
A century old woodcookstove accents their  kitchen. On holidays their children and grandchildren gather around the nine foot yellow pine table centered in the kitchen. Cast iron kettles and skillets that are used daily rest on the hearth of a yellow brick fireplace. A handcrafted iron rack displays a collection of baskets. Modern kitchen appliances are built into the confederate blue stained cabinetry. On the back of the stove, a white porcelain coffee pot percolates Eight O Clock coffee.
